This handsome young fellow, relaxing after a busy day, is German Shepherd Max. Although he’s eight year’s old, he’s still very much a puppy – loving and playful, and lots of fun. True to his German Shepherd breed, Max is intelligent, loyal, and very protective – with loud bark that lets strangers know that he’s there.
I love it when a portrait faithfully captures a dog’s character, or characteristic of the breed, and I was delighted to be able to draw Max in this intimate pose, which illustrates perfectly why I recommend getting down to your pet’s eye level to take photographs.
