Meet Gypsy, a Border Collie. She’s three years old but shows no sign of actually growing up – she’s more of a naughty toddler, with a passion for Frisbee and swimming and she’ll do ANYTHING for cheese!

If there’s one thing that can make a huge difference to the outcome of pencil portrait – regardless of whether it’s graphite or coloured pencil – it’s the quality of the photograph upon which the portrait is based. Luckily, with Gypsy, I had a superbly bright and sharp image to work from, and it enabled me to faithfully replicate every detail.
