Tilly is a two year-old working Cocker Spaniel. She is very loving, cuddly and affectionate in the house and very calm for a Cocker but when out on walks her typical Cocker craziness comes out! Over the shooting season she works one day a week flushing out pheasants all day long and absolutely loves it – her tail doesn’t stop wagging! Her owner, Melissa, is a counsellor and plans to one day have Tilly work alongside as a therapy dog.

For her coloured pencil portrait, we chose to base it on a photo that was taken in the gorgeous directional morning light, which highlighted every detail detail of her brown fur, and resulted in a portrait with a distinctive 3D feel.
